About this piece
Sunbeam Lemonade is a one-off — an invented summer lemonade whose label is all warm light, a hand-painted sunburst radiating off the curve of the can. Because it is unique rather than editioned, the surface is fully resolved as a single object: 41 cm of glossy yellows and oranges built up over roughly 60 hours of acrylic painting on a 3D-printed form. It reads as pop art in the Warhol lineage — an ordinary consumer package elevated into something to collect.
How was it made?
The can form is 3D-printed, then hand-painted start to finish in acrylics and sealed with a gloss varnish. The label design draws directly on Cansy's professional years designing real beverage packaging — the same instincts for typography and flavor, now aimed at fine art rather than a shelf.
