Is 3D-printed art collectible?
Yes. With Cansy's work the 3D print is only the substrate — the collectible value lives in the hand-painting and the edition scarcity. Each can form is 3D-printed, then painted entirely by hand over dozens of hours, so every piece is an original artwork rather than a mass-produced object. Unique works are one of a kind; editioned works are limited and each is individually hand-finished, so no two are the same. That's the same reason a hand-finished sculpture or a limited pop-art edition holds value.
How are the sculptures made?
Each sculpture starts as a 3D-printed can form. It's primed and then hand-painted in acrylics — typically 40 to 90 hours depending on size — and sealed with a protective finish. The designs come out of Cansy's years as a professional beverage label designer. Importantly, the cans are sculpted and painted; they are not made from recycled aluminum.
Are they made from real recycled cans?
No. The can shape is a 3D-printed sculptural form, not a real or recycled aluminum can. The printed base exists purely to be the canvas for an original, hand-painted pop-art surface.
How much do the sculptures cost?
Prices run from about $2,400 to $8,000, depending on size, edition, and painting hours, and every artwork page shows its exact price and availability. Commissions start around $2,500. How are the sculptures shipped and insured?
Every piece is packed in the studio in custom protective packaging and shipped worldwide fully insured for its full value, with tracking. Shipping is quoted per destination and confirmed before payment. If anything arrives damaged, it's covered — you contact the studio and it's resolved directly.
How do commissions work?
Four steps: brief and fixed quote → digital design approval → 3D-printing and hand-painting → a signed piece shipped insured with a certificate of authenticity. Do the works come with a certificate of authenticity?
Yes. Every sculpture is signed and ships with a certificate of authenticity listing title, year, materials, and edition — documented for resale and insurance.
